Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical or Plastics Engineering.
- 8+ years hands-on experience in injection molding.
- Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting injection molding presses.
- Familiarity with CAD tools and mold flow simulation.
Responsibilities
- Design and optimize plastic components using DFM principles for efficient production.
- Collaborate with toolmakers to design, procure, and review injection molds.
- Set up, troubleshoot, and refine injection molding processes and parameters for quality.
- Use mold flow simulation tools to optimize material flow and guide design decisions.
- Manage and audit external injection molding suppliers for continuous improvement.
- Evaluate plastics resins based on specs and cost constraints.
- Implement quality control plans and identify waste reduction opportunities.
