Job summary

MAP PLASTICS PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a skilled Mold Technician to enhance mold component quality and output, working with supervisors and technicians.

You will optimize mold operating parameters and assist in automating processes to meet tolerances and efficiency targets. Responsibilities include preparing mold status reports, supporting design engineering on automation, and helping set achievable goals and budgets with the Engineering Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Metal Fabrication/Tool & Die/Welding) or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of working experience in the related field.
• Self-driven, independent and resourceful.
• Effective team player with good communication and presentation skills.
• Possess good analytical thinking and problem solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Preferably Junior Executive specialized in Manufacturing/Production Operations or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Improve quality and output of mold components with supervisors and molding technicians.
• Optimize operating parameters of molds and support equipment, ensuring tolerances.
• Prepare status reports on molds and related equipment periodically.
• Assist and recommend to design engineering in developing automated processes.
• Assist Injection Molding Engineering Supervisor in setting achievable goals and budgets.
• Assess the technical feasibility of methods to resolve diagnosed problems.
• Observe and provide solutions on mould technical & fabrication, tooling issues and troubleshoot to resolve problems in mould manufacturing and production.
• Assist to train and develop technical personnel on old and new technology.
• Plan and coordinate special projects to meet quality, productivity and cost objectives.
• Validate the machine and mold for part and ensure budgeted cost and quality levels are achieved.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Operation Manager.
