Job summary

PUB, The National Water Agency in Singapore seeks a Lead Engineer (Operations) to plan and oversee plant operations, ensuring design-capacity performance and discharge quality. You will coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on water quality control, lab work, and shutdowns.

You will analyze water quality data, optimize plant performance, and prepare monthly reports while ensuring SOPs and response plans are audit-ready.

Qualifications

Bachelor or Master degree in Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
Experience in water treatment operations preferred.
Proficient in MS Office and data reporting.

Responsibilities

Plan and implement operations to ensure plant processes operate at design capacity and discharge quality targets.
Coordinate with stakeholders on water quality control, laboratory works, load dispatch and shutdowns.
Analyze water quality data and optimize plant performance using modelling and data visualization tools (e.g., Qlik Sense).
Prepare monthly water quality and performance reports and ensure SOPs/response plans are audit-ready.
Oversee liquids and solids treatment at Ulu Pandan WRP to ensure reliable operation and compliant effluent.
Engage with contractors for maintenance and ensure safety provisions are followed.
Plan and manage OPEX and CAPEX budgets for operations and maintenance.
Prepare project papers, specifications, tenders, and manage contracts.
Develop and implement plant improvement projects for efficiency, safety, and resilience.
Lead safety audits and coordinate audit activities and corrective actions.
