Job summary

SJ Group is seeking a Senior Planning Engineer in Singapore to lead the preparation, review and management of project programmes across tender, design consultancy and construction stages. You will provide direct client-facing planning support, oversee progress reporting and undertake delay assessments with contemporaneous records.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• 7–10 years in planning, scheduling or project controls in major infra.
• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Experience preparing tender, design and construction programmes.
• Practical delay analysis and EOT assessment experience.
• Strong understanding of contracts and claims concepts.
• Knowledge of PSSCOC or other forms; FIDIC is an advantage.
• Strong written and client-facing communication skills.
• Experience supervising planning teams and governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation, review and updating of project programmes for tender, design and construction stages using Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Develop programme strategies, sequencing logic and scenarios to assess changes and impacts.
• Ensure programmes comply with contractual, procedural and client requirements.
• Lead programme review meetings and present matters to clients and stakeholders.
• Review and challenge contractor programmes and time-related submissions with recommendations.
• Lead monthly progress and productivity reviews with forecasting.
• Identify schedule risks, critical paths, delays and gaps, and provide early warnings.
• Coordinate with design, construction and contract teams to align programmes with objectives and obligations.
• Undertake delay and EOT assessments using time impact and windows analyses.
• Prepare programme-related contractual correspondence and EOT reports.
• Maintain organised schedule records to support claims and avoid disputes.
• Plan and review work of planning engineers, including overseas resources.
• Support internal programme governance with consistent scheduling and reporting.
