Job summary

SJ Group in Singapore is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to support the Lead Consultant in day-to-day project management and coordinate site activities. The role involves overseeing site planning, safety compliance, and liaising with contractors to ensure timely responses and smooth progress of residential and mixed-use developments.

You will evaluate programmes, monitor progress, and assist in handovers while supervising upgrading works for quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Degree in Architecture, Civil/Structural/Electrical/Mechanical/Environmental Engineering or related PM field.
• Recognized by Singapore boards (BOA or PEB) or BCA.
• At least 5 years post-graduate experience in building construction; or 3 years in PM for residential projects.
• Certified Construction Safety Course for Project Manager (MOM-accredited).

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Consultant in project management and daily operations.
• Oversee site planning including facilities, hoarding, access, and crane requirements.
• Evaluate project programmes and monitor work progress.
• Ensure workplace safety, health, and environmental measures are implemented effectively.
• Arrange mock-ups, sample unit inspections, and trade demonstrations.
• Coordinate submissions and queries from contractors, ensuring timely responses from consultants.
• Review and evaluate contractor progress claims.
• Monitor acceptance inspections and timely submission of RVOs.
• Track and manage engagement of Registered Inspectors (RI Arch and RI M&E).
• Plan, inspect, and coordinate handover of completed works.
• Supervise upgrading works to ensure quality workmanship.
• Direct RTOs in supervision and site management activities.
• Assess and recommend contractor Extension of Time (EOT) claims.
• Support the Lead Consultant during the Defects Liability Period.
