Job summary

Gammon-India-Limited is seeking a site-based Planning Engineer in Singapore to develop and manage project programmes for large-scale construction. You will coordinate inputs from the project team, contractors and suppliers, and prepare baseline schedules with resources, costs and narrative explanations.

You should be experienced with 3–5 years on projects over $100 million, proficient in Primavera P6 and MS Project, with 4D BIM knowledge considered an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project schedules with the project team
• Coordinate inputs from project team, contractors and suppliers for programme development
• Prepare baseline schedule including resources, cost loadings, S-curves and narratives
• Work on progress forecasts and rolling programmes
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports to track progress vs planned schedule
• Develop micro-programmes for site planning and coordination
• Monitor and control progress to ensure turnover and cost align with master plan
• Ensure timely submission of drawings and materials with approvals
• Monitor project orders and deliveries against schedules
• Coordinate interfacing and coordination with discipline leads
• Prepare and develop EOT claims with commercial team and potential catch-up programmes

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain project schedules in consultation with the project team
• Coordinate and obtain inputs from project team, contractors and suppliers to support the development of project programmes
• Prepare baseline schedule which includes resources, cost loadings, S-curves, Programme Narratives, and scope appreciation presentation
• Work on progress forecasts and prepare rolling programmes
• Prepare weekly & monthly report to update, track and report project progress against planned schedulePrepare & develop micro-programme for specific trades for site planning & coordination
• Monitor and control progress to make sure that turnover and cost is in line with master construction program
• Monitor timely submission of drawings & materials with approvals
• Monitor project orders and deliveries are in accordance with agreed schedules
• Carry out in the overall interfacing and coordination works aligning to the baseline schedule with respective discipline in charge
• Prepare & develop claimable EOT as per contractual clauses with commercial team with potential new catch-up programmes

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering recognized by Professional Engineers Board (PEB) Singapore or Building and Construction Authority (BCA)
• Good understanding of construction industry practices and standards to perform planning and scheduling
• At least 3 - 5 years' experience in projects valued at more than $100millions with hands on experience doing planning and scheduling for building projects with external works
• Proficient in planning software such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
• Experience in LTA programme preparation, programme requirements and submissions will be an added advantage
• Candidate with 4D BIM knowledge will have an added advantage
• Highly motivated, self-driven with initiatives to work independently to produce programmes, narrative and histograms
• Meticulous, eye for details and a good team player
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced and dynamic environment
• This is a site-based position.
