Job summary

Stroke Support Station, a Singapore-based non-profit, seeks a Physiotherapist to assess, plan and provide rehabilitation for stroke survivors and their caregivers. You will contribute to admissions, reviews, and discharge planning, participating in multidisciplinary case discussions and programme development.

The ideal candidate has a Physiotherapy degree and AHPC registration, with at least 3 years’ experience, including some in step-down outpatient settings.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy and AHPC registration.
• Fluent in English; other languages (Mandarin, Chinese dialects, Tamil or Malay) valued.
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience, preferably 2 years in step-down care outpatient settings.
• Understanding of neurological rehabilitation and musculoskeletal conditions.
• Dynamic and proactive with good communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct admissions assessments and periodic reviews.
• Plan and conduct rehabilitation programmes for clients.
• Provide individual and group interventions.
• Assist in discharge planning and care plan.
• Participate in case discussions with the care team.
• Assist in developing and reviewing rehabilitation and wellness programmes.

Stroke Support Station (S3) is a non-profit organization in Singapore dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for stroke survivors and their caregivers. S3 provides a range of programs focused on rehabilitation, empowerment, and community reintegration. Through specialized activities, wellness programs, and caregiver support, S3 aims to foster physical, emotional, and social well-being. The organization also advocates for stroke awareness and collaborates with healthcare professionals, volunteers, and partners to offer holistic, person-centered care for the stroke recovery journey.

You Will:

• Conduct assessments for clients during admission and periodic reviews
• Evaluate, plan and conduct rehabilitation programme for clients
• Provide individual and group interventions for clients
• Assist in the discharge planning and care plan for clients
• Participate in case discussion with care team
• Assist in the development and review of rehabilitation and wellness programmes for clients
• Training and supervision of therapy assistants

You Are:

• Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy and registered with AHPC
• Able to converse in English and other languages (Mandarin, Chinese dialects, Tamil or Malay) due to S3's population that we are serving
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience preferably with 2 years in step-down care outpatient settings
• Understanding of neurological rehabilitation and musculoskeletal condition
• Dynamic and proactive personality with good public relation and communication skills
• Someone who has good management, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
