Job summary

National University Health System (NUHS) oversees the Tengah General and Community Hospital (TGCH) project, a new health campus slated for the early 2030s. This role focuses on retail pharmacy leadership, pricing strategy, contract and vendor coordination, and staff development within NUHS’ hospital network.

The Principal Pharmacist will drive pricing decisions, collaborate with ALPS purchasing, and ensure high standards of service, ethics, and patient care across the retail and clinical

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited college of Pharmacy.
• Postgraduate qualifications in hospital pharmacy or in management (e.g., MBA or PharmD).
• Active pharmacist license in the state of practice.
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate Retail Assistant productivity in topping up, merchandising, housekeeping, and cashiering activities.
• Handle customer enquiries and requests for products not available in retail pharmacy.
• Review customer feedback and plan improvements to retail operations and service ethics.
• Review and improve retail operation workflow for ordering, returns, and shelf-life monitoring.
• Monitor stock conditions and expiry dates to reduce wastage.
• Monitor financial and service performance of retail operations and report to HOD.
