Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is seeking a hands-on Senior Payments Developer / Systems Analyst to build, enhance and support high-volume banking payment platforms. The role covers full SDLC ownership from requirements to production support.

You will work on payment processing applications, interfaces and transaction components, with deep exposure to ISO 8583 and ISO 20022, and strong SQL/PLSQL, Linux scripting, and Python automation.

Qualifikationen

• 10–12 years of software development experience in banking/payments.
• Progression from Developer to Senior Developer/Technical Analyst.
• Strong understanding of complete payment transaction lifecycle.
• Solid ISO 8583 knowledge and ISO 20022 exposure.
• Experience with card acquiring, transaction switching, payment processing or authorization platforms.
• Experience with payment networks (Visa, Mastercard, Discover).
• Strong SQL/PLSQL, Linux/Unix and Shell scripting.
• Hands-on Python development/automation.
• Ability to trace transactions across APIs/services, databases, files, queues, interfaces.

Aufgaben

• Design, develop and enhance payment processing applications, services, interfaces and transaction-processing components.
• Own changes across the SDLC, from requirements and system analysis through development, unit testing, integration testing, deployment and production support.
• Understand payment flows end-to-end across Authorization, Routing/Switching, Clearing, Settlement, Reconciliation, Reversals and Chargebacks.
• Develop and troubleshoot integrations between payment platforms, banking applications, payment networks and upstream/downstream systems.
• Perform ISO 8583 message-level analysis, including MTI, bitmap, data elements and transaction mapping.
• Apply ISO 20022 knowledge to payment application changes, message transformations and interface integration.
• Diagnose complex production issues using SQL/PLSQL, Linux, application logs, ISO messages and transaction data.
• Develop Python/Shell automation for payment processing, reconciliation, monitoring and operational activities.
• Perform code reviews, impact analysis, RCA, performance analysis and technical troubleshooting.
• Mentor developers and provide technical direction for complex payment application enhancements.

Role Summary

Seeking a hands-on Senior Payments Developer / SystemsAnalyst experienced in building, enhancing and supporting high-volume,business-critical banking payment platforms.

Must Have

• 10 to 12 years of software/application development experience, with strong hands-on experience in banking and payment systems.
• Progression from Developer to Senior Developer / Technical Analyst, with continued hands-on coding and system-analysis responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of the complete payment transaction lifecycle, not just individual applications.
• Strong ISO 8583 knowledge and working knowledge of ISO 20022.
• Experience in card acquiring, transaction switching, payment processing or authorization platforms.
• Experience with payment networks such as Visa, Mastercard and Discover. The source CV also includes UPI exposure.
• Strong SQL/PLSQL, Linux/Unix and Shell scripting skills.
• Hands-on Python development/automation experience.
• Ability to trace transactions across APIs/services, databases, files, queues, interfaces and downstream systems.
• Experience with automation/scheduling tools such as Control-M, Rundeck, Autosys or Opswise, consistent with the source profile.
• Experience with Splunk, Datadog, Kibana/OpenSearch or similar observability platforms.

Good to have

• Experience with TranzWare / Compass Plus, Lusis GPX or comparable payment switching/processing platforms.
• Exposure to microservices, APIs and cloud-based payment architectures.
• Experience developing for high-volume, high-availability Tier-1 banking environments.
• Strong understanding of resiliency, performance, batch processing and operational controls in payment platforms.
