Job summary

Land Transport Authority in Singapore seeks a Senior Database Administrator to lead migration and modernization of enterprise platforms, focusing on GCC cloud migration on AWS or Azure. You will manage the full database lifecycle, ensure high availability and security, and collaborate with cloud, DevOps and vendor teams to deliver reliable database services.

The role requires deep Oracle 19c expertise, strong scripting skills, and experience in cloud migrations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of Oracle Database design, implementation and administration in enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle 19c: installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, performance tuning, backup/recovery and security.
• Experience migrating Oracle databases to GCC on AWS/Azure.
• Familiarity with Oracle High Availability, Disaster Recovery and migration technologies (GoldenGate, Data Guard, RMAN, ZDM).
• Experience with Oracle AI Database technologies (26ai) and Oracle Cloud.
• Certifications in Oracle Database/Cloud preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the migration of Oracle DB 19c to GCC on AWS and Azure, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
• Design, implement and maintain database replication between on-premises and cloud environments.
• Plan and execute Oracle database installations, configuration, upgrades and lifecycle management.
• Perform proactive database administration: performance tuning, SQL optimization, capacity planning, health monitoring and preventive maintenance.
• Design, implement and maintain backup, recovery, HA and DR solutions.
• Apply patches and security updates per policies and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, cloud and DevOps teams to support deployments and cloud migration initiatives.
• Troubleshoot complex database and infrastructure issues, perform root cause analysis, automate tasks, and document solutions.
