Job summary

Keppel Management Ltd. in Singapore seeks an Operations Support professional to assist the Operations Engineer in daily plant operations, monitoring parameters, and coordinating with the maintenance team to ensure safe and efficient boiler and turbine generator operations.

You will perform routine checks, adjust plant parameters via DCS, manage water treatment, and enforce safety systems like PTW/LOTO while coordinating with CCR and waste-water processes.

Qualifications

• Higher NITEC in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of the principles and mechanics of plant equipment and DCS functions is essential.
• Class 2 Boiler Attendant Certificate is preferred but not mandatory.
• Training in HAZMAT/First Aid/Incident Management/Work-at-Height/Confined Space is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine checks and testing of plant equipment and propose job cards.
• Monitor plant parameters and adjust or troubleshoot via DCS or on site.
• Manage boiler water condition and level including monitoring water consumption.
• Perform equipment switch-overs such as feed water pumps and flue gas treatment.
• Optimize refuse incineration throughput based on operating conditions.
• Record and document changes in work procedures according to ISO and quality procedures.
• Update plant status and inform superior of any equipment failures or incidents.
• Enforce PTW system with Risk Assessment and administer LOTO.
• Assist in isolation and normalization of equipment based on P&ID drawings.
• Assist Operations Engineer in CCR/Weighbridge/Water and Wastewater treatment operations.
