Job summary

Air Liquide Singapore Private Limited (ALSg) is seeking a Chemical Process Engineer to optimize production and ensure safe operation of ASU assets on Jurong Island. You will lead process improvements, analyze bottlenecks, and drive reliable, cost-effective operations.

The role requires a Chemical Engineering degree and at least 3 years in petrochemical/gas operations with DCS experience. You will collaborate across E2E, Maintenance, Commercial and Supply Chain and may work irregular hours.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in petrochemical/gas or related industry with chemical process operations and DCS panel operation.
• Strong leadership, analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
• Willing to commit to irregular working hours.
• Good communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, implementation, and continuous improvement of production processes to enhance efficiency and reliability.
• Apply industrial engineering principles to identify bottlenecks and optimize workflows.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for operational hazards.
• Oversee and troubleshoot technical operations, guiding shift teams to resolve issues.
• Collaborate with E2E, Maintenance, Commercial and Supply Chain to achieve excellence.
• Prepare and present technical reports, analyses, and recommendations.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and technical staff.
