Zusammenfassung

Mitsui & Co. Energy Trading Singapore Pte. Ltd. seeks an experienced finance professional to manage cash flows, loan arrangements, and L/C activities. You will coordinate FX deals with banks, support KYC reviews, and maintain cross-border relationships with the Japan HQ and regional offices.

The role requires strong English and Japanese communication, solid risk and compliance knowledge, and advanced MS Office skills. A minimum of 10 years in banking or trade finance is expected.

Qualifikationen

• Good degree from a recognized University.
• At least 10 years of relevant working experience in banking or trade finance.
• High level awareness of compliance and internal control.
• Basic knowledge on risk analysis & management, hedging, economic evaluation, financial, credit and accounting knowledge of trading business.

Aufgaben

• Handle L/C related arrangements from opening to settlement, including amendments.
• Coordinate FX deal transactions with banks and monitor related margins.

• Maintain relationships with banks, Mitsui affiliates, and regional offices.
• Prepare reports in English and Japanese on market conditions and variances.

Job Descriptions

• Managing cash flows, including the following.
• Loan and borrowing arrangements with designated financial institutions based on the evaluation of future income and expenditure expectation by the back office.
• Management of related bank charges, interest and any other related charges associated with loan and borrowing transactions.
• Arrangements for payments from/to various customers through the Bank EDI system and/or manual operations, including relevant reconciliation.
• FX deal transactions with related banks pursuant to instructions from the Front Office.
• Letter of Credit (L/C) related arrangements from L/C opening to settlement, including cancellation and/or amendment if necessary.
• Any other related work regarding financial transactions, pursuant to the instructions of the Chief Financial Officer, General Manager and/or relevant superior.
• Maintain fair relationship with financial institutions and gather updates of the financial market including sovereign risk.
• Maintain all documents and agreements related to the above finance activities.
• Record/update related databases associated with the above finance transactions
• Monitoring of margin account in trading houses
• Supporting Know Your Customer (KYC) reviews required from banks and trading houses
• Arrange FX deal transactions with related banks
• Support the CFO through close collaboration and communication with all Chief Officers, addressing management-level matters from a financial perspective.
• Provide financial support and guidance to business departments, while maintaining strong relationships to facilitate effective information sharing and collaboration.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with Headquarters in Japan, the Regional Head Office in Singapore, and external counterparties, including banks and other business partners.
• Prepare reports in both English and Japanese, including explanations of market conditions, analysis of calculation variances, and responses to inquiries from Headquarters and other Mitsui affiliates.

Job Requirements

• Good degree from a recognized University;
• Possess at least 10 years of relevant working experience in banking or trade finance;
• High level awareness of compliance and internal control;
• Basic knowledge on risk analysis & management, hedging, economic evaluation, financial, credit and accounting knowledge of trading business (and international/energy trading business related experience preferable);
• Excellent English and Japanese language skills with the ability to logically comprehend a written document, and ability to write formal business correspondences for communication with clients (Japanese /International / local) and other Mitsui Group offices (i.e. Tokyo and other offices in the network);
• Good inter-personal skills for internal and external communication;
• Can-do attitude, with the willingness to learn and willingness to work hard to create value, due to international nature of the business;
• Excellent skills in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other office digital tools. Willingness to learn new digital tools.
