Job summary

ST ANDREW'S MISSION HOSPITAL is seeking an Occupational Therapist for inpatient care focused on elderly patients with neurological and musculoskeletal needs. You will develop tailored treatment plans, assess home and workplace environments, and provide ADL training as part of a holistic care program.

You will liaise with doctors, families and other professionals, contributing to department development while staying informed on the latest OT practices and recommending adaptive equipment as needed.

Qualifications

• Recognised Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Enjoy working with elderly patients, including neurological and musculoskeletal cases.
• Pleasant, cheerful disposition and good public relations.
• Valid practising certificate with AHPC or passed NYP Qualifying Examination.
• Dynamic, proactive, customer oriented and strong communication skills.
• Service mindset, result oriented and a team player.

Responsibilities

• Developing treatment plans to address a patient's needs and help them meet specific goals in Inpatient setting.
• Assessing a patient's home and/or work environment and recommending adaptations to fit the patient's needs and improve independence.
• To provide activities of daily living (ADL) training for the inpatients.
• Liaising with doctors, family members, caregivers and other professionals and keeping them updated
• To keep abreast with advances in the profession and to contribute to the development of the department
• Advising on adaptive equipment to help clients with daily activities.
• Conduct group therapy
