Job summary

Alexandra Hospital, Singapore, invites applications for an Occupational Therapist to provide inpatient and/or outpatient services in an integrated hospital setting. The role includes patient assessment, treatment planning, documentation, and participation in education and service initiatives.

Candidates should hold a recognised Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy with good communication and teamwork abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Recognised Diploma / Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Interest in geriatrics, neurology, orthopedics & palliative care; prior experience in these areas advantageous.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work well in a team and also independently.
• Competent in using Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage patients referred for occupational therapy independently.

Overview

You will be responsible in providing Occupational Therapy in inpatient and/or outpatient in an integrated general hospital You will participate in administration, clinical supervision, research supervision, professional education as and when required.

Job Responsibilities

• Assess and manage patients referred for occupational therapy independently
• Implement appropriate treatment plans and comply to clinical standards
• Provide timely review of patients in the continuum of care
• Document patient’s progress and records accurately

• Participate and assist in managing clinical and/or service initiatives
• Assist in providing clinical education of occupational therapy students

Requirements

• Recognised Diploma / Degree in Occupational Therapy
• Interest in working in the following areas: Geriatrics, Neurology (Including rehab med caseload such as patients with stroke and Brain injury), Orthopedics (including hand therapy) & Palliative Care, prior experience in any of these areas will be an advantage
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to work well in a team and also independently
• Competent in using Microsoft Office
