Job summary

Hitachi Vantara is seeking a Senior Infrastructure SRE in Singapore to join a focused L3 support team for NextGen Archive and Enterprise Vault services. You will deliver complex incident resolution, change management, and capacity planning while maintaining high customer satisfaction.

You will mentor junior staff, work with engineers and vendors, and lead lifecycle management and design activities across global NGA/EV deployments.

Qualifications

7+ years of experience in Object Storage technologies, preferably Hitachi HCP with HCI.
Bachelor’s degree in CS or related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
Strong knowledge of core IT protocols and systems (virtualisation, servers, networks, storage, databases, data centres, security).
Understanding of backup and disaster recovery methodologies in Archive environments.
Fluent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

Act as a Senior Storage SRE within a L3 Support team with architectures and collaboration with Engineering and Vendor Support.
Provision, configure, maintain and troubleshoot multiple HCP platforms worldwide.
Identify and implement improvements to NGA/EV services including capacity, performance, availability and cost.
Perform capacity and performance planning and report findings to Service Delivery Management.
Respond to NGA/EV incidents, communicate with technical and management teams.
Translate engineering standards into low-level design documents and deployments.
Own lifecycle management activities like code and firmware upgrades.
Support compliance initiatives related to NGA/EV services.
Assist Project Teams as SME for Solution Design and Transition to Operations.
Provide On-Call support on rotation with occasional OOH work.
