EC1 Partners Singapore is expanding its infrastructure team to support critical trading platforms and low-latency production systems. The Senior Network Engineer will manage global production networking, collaborate with multiple regions, and improve automation and incident response.

Qualifications

• Experience with high-availability, low-latency, or business-critical infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain low-latency network infrastructure across a global production environment.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues across routing, switching, firewalls, connectivity, latency, packet loss, TCP retransmissions, multicast, and performance.
• Work on network changes, upgrades, maintenance windows, and capacity planning.
• Support connectivity into exchanges, brokers, data centres, vendors, customers, and other market participants.
• Assist with customer connectivity onboarding, testing, certification, and troubleshooting.
• Use packet capture and analysis tools to investigate market data behaviour, packet loss, latency, multicast gaps, and connectivity issues.
• Partner with engineering and infrastructure teams on incident response, root cause analysis, service restoration, and long-term remediation.
• Contribute to network automation, monitoring, documentation, and operational process improvement.
• Support production environments that require strong ownership, attention to detail, and high levels of trust.

EC1 Partners is working with a leading global financial markets technology business that is building out its Singapore infrastructure team. This is an opportunity for a Senior Network Engineer to join a highly technical environment supporting critical trading platforms, low-latency infrastructure, customer connectivity, market data access, and globally distributed production systems.

The role would suit an experienced network engineer with strong hands-on experience across enterprise or financial markets infrastructure, ideally with exposure to trading connectivity, market data, exchange connectivity, or other latency-sensitive environments.

The Role

You will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and improving network infrastructure across production, disaster recovery, and test environments. The position is hands-on and will involve a mix of BAU support, project delivery, troubleshooting, change management, customer connectivity, packet analysis, automation, and operational improvement.

You will work closely with infrastructure, systems, security, engineering, operations, and customer-facing teams across multiple regions, helping ensure network stability, performance, resilience, and reliability across business-critical platforms.

Experience Required

• Strong hands-on network engineering experience in a production environment.
• Good knowledge of routing, switching, TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, multicast, VLANs, firewalls, and network security.
• Experience supporting high-availability, low-latency, or business-critical infrastructure.
• Background in financial services, trading, exchanges, market data, or capital markets technology would be highly advantageous.
• Experience with Cisco, Arista, Juniper, or similar enterprise network technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work calmly during production incidents.
• Experience with packet capture / packet analysis tools such as Corvil, Wireshark, tcpdump, or similar would be highly beneficial.
• Scripting, automation, monitoring, Python, APIs, UNIX shell, Grafana, or infrastructure tooling experience would be beneficial.
• AWS cloud networking experience would be advantageous.
• CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, JNCIE, AWS, Network+, Security+, Corvil, or similar certifications would be viewed positively.
