Job Description

The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, integration, and support of network solutions. This role plays a key technical and leadership function in delivering secure, resilient, and mission-critical network architectures, ensuring successful project execution, system integration, and customer satisfaction. The position requires strong expertise in network design, infrastructure engineering, stakeholder management, and team leadership within complex, real-time operational environments.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, implement, configure, test, and support network solutions for ATM systems and related projects.
• Develop and maintain network architecture documentation, solution designs, Bills of Materials (BOM), interface definitions, test procedures, and integration artefacts.
• Configure, validate, and deploy network infrastructure in factory environments and customer sites, ensuring successful handover to software integration and operations teams.
• Support system upgrades, configuration changes, troubleshooting, and operational readiness activities.
• Provide technical expertise in network architecture, cybersecurity-aligned designs, infrastructure engineering, and system integration.
• Participate in design reviews, identify technical risks, and recommend mitigation strategies and alternative solutions.
• Deliver customer training and provide technical support throughout project delivery and acceptance phases.
• Lead and coordinate network engineering activities, including task prioritisation, effort estimation, progress tracking, and quality assurance of team deliverables.
• Support project planning, roadmap development, milestone achievement, change management, and stakeholder communications.
• Act as the primary technical point of contact for the engineering team and ensure adherence to configuration management and engineering processes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, engineering best practices, and a collaborative, high-performance team culture.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, security requirements, and health, safety, and environmental standards.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Professional networking certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in network engineering or infrastructure roles supporting complex, software-centric, real-time systems.
• Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise network and infrastructure architectures.
• Strong knowledge of network security principles, standards, and best practices.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies and equipment.
• Strong working knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems, preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• Experience with scripting and automation tools (e.g., Shell, Perl, TCL/TK).
• Demonstrated experience leading small engineering teams and coordinating technical deliverables.
• Strong problem-solving, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast‑paced project environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across multicultural and cross‑functional teams.
• Experience in large-scale distributed systems and mission‑critical environments is highly desirable, preferably within Air Traffic Management (ATM) or related industries.
• Familiarity with Agile/SAFe delivery methodologies is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel internationally on an occasional basis.
