Job summary

ADOMITA TECHNOLOGIES PTE. LTD. seeks an experienced engineer to lead network switch migrations, design reviews, and security hardening in Singapore. You will coordinate with security, servers, applications, and operations teams to ensure a smooth migration.

The role covers planning, build/configuration, monitoring integration, and comprehensive post‑migration support, with detailed documentation and stakeholder sign-off on completion.

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience in network migrations and large-scale switch upgrades.
• Strong network security hardening and compliance knowledge.
• Experience planning, documenting, and coordinating migrations with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Plan and review network architecture, migration requirements, and dependencies.
• Build and configure switches, upgrade firmware/OS to approved versions.
• Implement security hardening, disable unused ports and services.
• Set up monitoring and alerting with SNMP, Syslog, NetFlow where applicable.
• Execute migration with pre-checks, backups, and minimal downtime.
• Test connectivity and validate migration outcomes with teams.
• Create/update network diagrams, config records, IP addressing, and docs.
• Provide post-migration support and sign-off with stakeholders.

JD:

Migration

• 1. Planning and Design Review network architecture, designdocuments, and migration requirements. Validate switch hardware, softwareversions, licensing, and compatibility. Develop implementation, migration,rollback, and testing plans. Identify dependencies, risks, and outagerequirements. Coordinate with security, server, application, and operationsteams.
• 2. Switch Build and Initial Configuration Upgradefirmware/OS to approved versions. Review and Configure:
• 3. Security Configuration Implement network securityhardening in accordance with company standards. Disable unused ports andservices. Ensure compliance with security and audit requirements.
• 4. Monitoring and Alerting Setup Integrate switches withenterprise monitoring tools. Ensure the below is configured and working as perthe need: SNMP monitoring Syslog forwarding NetFlow/sFlow whereapplicable Performance and capacity monitoring Interface utilization monitoringEnvironmental monitoring (temperature, power supply, fan status) Configureoperational alerts for: Validate monitoring data is received bymonitoring platforms.
• 5. Migration Execution Perform pre-migration validation andhealth checks. Backup existing switch configurations. Execute migrationaccording to approved implementation plan. Coordinate migration withapplication and infrastructure teams. Minimize downtime and business impact.
• 6. Testing and Validation Perform connectivity testing.Resolve any issues identified during testing.
• 7. Documentation Create and update: Network diagramsSwitch configuration records Port mappings IP addressing documentation Securityconfiguration documentation Monitoringand alerting configuration recordsMaintain implementation and rollback procedures.
• 8. Post-Migration Support Provide post-implementationmonitoring and support. Review logs and alerts for abnormalities. Optimizeconfigurations where required. Conduct knowledge transfer to operations team.Obtain stakeholder sign-off after successful migration. Deliverables Approvedswitch build configuration. Security hardening checklist completed.
