Job summary

CLOUD KINETICS CONSULTING PTE. LTD. seeks an experienced MySQL Database Administrator to lead migration of on-premises VM-based MySQL to AWS, including architecture, assessment and execution across EC2 and managed DB services.

The role emphasizes deep MySQL performance tuning, AWS networking, hybrid replication, and use of AWS DMS/MGN tools to minimize downtime while ensuring data integrity and security.

Qualifications

• Experience migrating on-prem MySQL to AWS and leading end-to-end migration projects.
• Ability to architect target AWS environments and optimize performance.
• Knowledge of hybrid connectivity and data replication strategies.

Responsibilities

• On-Premises to AWS Migration Planning & Execution: architect and execute end-to-end migrations with minimal downtime.
• AWS Infrastructure Sizing & Storage Optimization: right-size compute and tune storage for performance.
• High Availability, Disaster Recovery & Security: design Multi-AZ topologies and enforce encryption and IAM controls.
• Performance Tuning & Post-Migration Validation: baseline benchmarks and monitor post-migration performance.
