Job summary

Google Singapore is seeking an Advanced Software Engineering Manager to lead content safety initiatives and productionize ML-based safety solutions. You will guide multiple teams, shape strategy for scalable ML systems, and align product goals with safety priorities across Google's platforms.

You will oversee engineers across locations, manage a sizeable budget, and drive the deployment of large-scale safety projects with a focus on reliability, performance and responsible AI practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development.
• 5 years of experience with ML infrastructure or related ML field.
• 5 years leading ML design and optimizing ML infrastructure.
• 3 years in a technical leadership role.
• 2 years in people management or team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Set and communicate team priorities that support the organization's goals.
• Set expectations with people based on their level and role and provide coaching.
• Develop technical goals and roadmap within team scope and evolve it.
• Design, build, maintain and scale content safety solutions for Google.
• Protect users from harmful content and unlock new business opportunities.
