Job summary

Virtuos is seeking a hands-on Machine Learning Engineer to develop an enterprise AI agent platform with a strong backend focus. You will build agent execution and orchestration capabilities, integrate enterprise systems, and deliver secure, reliable features from backend services to frontend interfaces.

The role requires 5+ years of software development, deep Python experience with FastAPI, PostgreSQL data modeling, and front-end skills in TypeScript and Vue/React.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience across backend and frontend.
• Strong Python skills with FastAPI or similar frameworks, asynchronous programming, REST APIs, and PostgreSQL data modeling.
• Hands-on experience with LLM tool calling, agent execution, or workflow orchestration.
• Experience integrating enterprise systems with API contracts, data mapping, paging, rate limits, retries.
• Understanding OAuth 2.0/OIDC and secure credential handling.
• Build asynchronous workflows with state, concurrency control, idempotency, and recovery.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and Vue or React, with routing and state management.
• Experience with automated tests, Git, CI/CD, Docker; troubleshooting via logs/metrics.

Responsibilities

• Agent platform and orchestration: build harnesses and multi-step workflows.
• Enterprise integrations: connectors for APIs, webhooks, and services.
• Full-stack delivery: design Python backends, secure REST APIs, and PostgreSQL models; build frontend interfaces.
• Security and reliability: credential protection, access boundaries, and audit logging.
• Quality and collaboration: tests, CI/CD, documentation, and cross-functional teamwork.
