Job summary

LPJ ENGINEERING & GENERAL SERVICES PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a Mechanical Engineer to inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain static and rotating equipment across chemical and process environments.

You will develop PM/PdM programs using CMMS, ensure alignment, vibration analysis, and conduct safety/compliance tasks including MOM and SS651; minimum 5 years’ experience required with strong leadership abilities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 5 years’ maintenance experience in chemical, pharmaceutical, or process manufacturing environments.
• Proven expertise in rotating/static equipment, piping systems, and mechanical utilities.
• Hands-on CMMS experience (e.g., SAP, MVP) and maintenance planning.
• Strong background in equipment and instrument reliability studies, preventive maintenance programs, and long-term improvement initiatives.
• Knowledge of statutory regulations, including SS651, WSH Act, and MOM inspection protocols.
• Familiarity with predictive maintenance techniques and reliability engineering principles.
• Demonstrated ability in SOP development, technical documentation, and process compliance.
• ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, SS651, cGMP, clean design, and microbial control practices.
• HSE and Quality-minded attitude with proven commitment to compliance and safety.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain static and rotating equipment (pressure vessels, pumps, heat exchangers, piping).
• Develop and execute PM and PdM programs using CMMS tools.
• Ensure alignment, balancing, lubrication, vibration analysis, thermography and bearing monitoring.
• Lead or assist in major overhauls and turnarounds with safety coordination.
• Lead Reliability Engineering & Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Plan statutory inspections per MOM, SS651 and WSH regulations.
• Participate in audits (MOM, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, SS651) and safety programs.
• Develop and maintain SOPs; train technicians.
• Supervise technicians and contractors; manage workload during shutdowns.
• Contribute to shutdown planning and capital projects.
