Job summary

PBA Systems Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking an experienced Principal/Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead end-to-end design, simulation, and integration of customized module solutions across semiconductor, medical, pharmaceutical, and aerospace sectors. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate complex requirements into reliable, manufacturable, and cost‑effective outcomes.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years of working experience in semiconductor equipment or industrial automation.
• Proficient with mechanical design and drawing management using SolidWorks and PDM.
• In-depth knowledge of motion control components (linear guides, ball screws, direct-drive motors, encoders, air bearings, pneumatic systems).
• Knowledgeable in design and assembly of precision motion modules.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical Design: Lead the design and development of customized engineering solutions using SolidWorks.
• Analysis & Simulation: Perform tolerance stack-up analysis and work with FEA team to optimize structural integrity, vibration control, and dynamic performance.
• Prototyping & Qualification: Oversee physical prototyping, assembly, alignment, functional testing, and Design Verification Testing (DVT).
• Design for Manufacturability (DFMA): Collaborate with machining vendors and internal manufacturing teams to select optimal materials, heat treatments, and fabrication processes.
• Lifecycle & ECO Management: Drive Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), maintain Detailed Bill of Materials (BOMs), and ensure full compliance with ISO standards.
• Technical Mentorship: Guide and review the technical output of junior mechanical engineers and CAD designers.
