Job summary

COENS ENERGY PTE. LTD. seeks an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer (Design) to lead the full mechanical engineering design lifecycle for large-scale, data centre projects.

You will drive concept development, tendering, construction support, and commissioning, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and clients. The role requires strong leadership, deep mechanical design expertise, and a track record in delivering high-specification facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree / Honours in Mechanical Engineering.
• 10–15 years of mechanical engineering experience, preferably in consultancy or major projects.
• Direct experience in Data Centre projects is strongly preferred.
• Experience in design, technical reviews, tendering, construction support, and testing & commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Lead conceptual and detailed design of mechanical systems for large, complex projects.
• Develop design solutions prioritising performance, constructability, cost, schedule and sustainability.
• Prepare preliminary budgets and cost estimates for mechanical systems.
• Review and manage mechanical tender documentation and evaluations.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead design reviews with leadership and clients.
• Support RFQ pricing, technical reports, and final account assessments as needed.
• Ensure safety practices and engineering standards are followed across projects.
