Job summary

COENS ENERGY PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer (Design) to lead the complete mechanical design lifecycle on large, technically complex projects in the Pharmaceutical sector.

You will drive concept, detailed design, tendering, construction support, and commissioning, ensuring delivery to client requirements. The role demands strong leadership, robust technical judgment, and the ability to mentor junior engineers while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams across

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Honours degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Diploma holders with relevant experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

Lead conceptual and detailed design of mechanical systems for large projects.
Develop design solutions considering performance, constructability, cost, schedule, and sustainability.
Prepare preliminary budgets and cost estimates for mechanical systems.
Establish sustainability objectives throughout the lifecycle.
Review designs for compliance with contracts and client requirements.
Manage tender documentation, clarifications, evaluations and awards.
Implement design reviews and progress tracking to maintain quality and schedule.
Lead multidisciplinary design reviews with engineering leadership.
Represent the team in client meetings and design workshops.
Identify design/cost/programme risks and develop mitigation plans.
Provide technical support during construction and commissioning.
