Job summary

COENS ENERGY PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer (Design) to lead the full mechanical design lifecycle for large, technically complex projects in the semiconductor sector.

You will drive conceptual and detailed design, cost estimation, tendering, and construction support, while ensuring sustainability and high design quality across the lifecycle. Strong leadership and client-facing skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Honours in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Approximately 10–15 years of relevant Mechanical Engineering experience.
• Strong track record in mechanical design, reviews, tendering and construction support.
• Direct Semiconductor industry experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead conceptual and detailed design of mechanical systems for large, complex projects.
• Develop mechanical design solutions considering performance, constructability, cost and schedule.
• Prepare preliminary budgets and cost estimates for mechanical systems.
• Establish sustainability objectives across the project lifecycle.
• Review designs for compliance with requirements and contract, client needs.
• Manage mechanical tender documentation, clarifications, evaluations and awards.
• Implement design review processes and track progress to maintain quality.
• Lead design reviews with engineering leadership and participate in client meetings.
• Identify issues and develop recovery and mitigation plans.
• Provide technical support during construction and commissioning.
