Job summary

Ramboll Singapore is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join its Buildings & Data Centre team. You will design, specify and coordinate mechanical services for data centers and buildings, including HVAC, ventilation and fire protection, from concept through commissioning.

You will work with clients, consultants and contractors, lead mechanical discipline management, review submissions and perform site inspections, with a hands-on approach to testing and commissioning.

• Review contractors' submissions of equipment/materials/drawings.
• Conduct site inspections of installations.
• Witness testing and commissioning of equipment/systems or FAT.
• Coordinate with client project teams and fellow consultants.

Role overview
We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Buildings & Data Centre team in Singapore. The role involves design, specification, coordination and site support for mechanical services in data centers and other buildings, including HVAC, mechanical ventilation and fire protection systems. You will work closely with clients, consultants and contractors from concept through to commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Design and specify mechanical systems for data centersand buildings, such as Air-Conditioning, Mechanical Ventilation and Fire Protection systems


• Prepare relevant documents, design calculations and drawings for submissions to authorities


• Attend client-consultant, site and technical meetings


• Take a lead on project mechanical discipline management and construction supervision


• Review contractors' technical submissions of equipment/materials/drawings


• Conduct site inspections of installations


• Witness testing and commissioning of equipment/system or attending FAT (Factory Accept Test)


• Work with the clients' project team and fellow consultants to coordinate and detail project design requirement


• Be responsible for any duties that may be assigned from time to time


• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering , recognized by Professional Engineers Board, Singapore.


• Positive work attitude and willing to learn


• Able to work independently and as part of a team


• Enjoy the process of developing design ideas into actual quality installation and validating through performance tests


• Likes hands-on site and testing & commissioning works


• Familiarity in Data Centre industry is preferred,
