AIG is seeking a Senior Underwriter to independently underwrite Marine Cargo risks and structure complex programs sourced from key broker partners. You will help maintain partnerships, govern underwriting processes, and mentor junior staff within a growing Asia Pacific team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Marine Cargo underwriting.
• Knowledge of Marine Liability products is advantageous.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills with a good eye for detail.
• Ability to work across multiple functions and departments.
• Good relationship management and service-oriented mindset.
• Curious and eager to upskill in a dynamic, growing department.

Responsibilities

• Independently underwrite risks and structure complex programs from Key Broker Partners.
• Maintain and develop Key Distribution Partnerships.
• Manage AIG’s underwriting processes and procedures per Marine Underwriting Guidelines and Risk Appetite.
• Provide guidance and training to junior team members on underwriting knowledge.
• Assist PCM with budgeting and portfolio management and undertake related projects.
