Job summary

AIG Asia Pacific Insurance Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Senior Underwriter to independently underwrite marine cargo risks, structure complex programs with brokers, and support portfolio management.

The role focuses on building partnerships and guiding junior staff in a regional underwriting context. The ideal candidate will have proven Marine Cargo underwriting experience, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to collaborate across departments while upholding underwriting guidelines.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Marine Cargo underwriting.
• Knowledge of Marine Liability products advantageous.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work across multiple functions and departments.

Responsibilities

• Independently underwrite risks and structure complex programs from brokers.
• Maintain and develop Key Distribution Partnerships.
• Manage underwriting processes in line with Marine Underwriting Guidelines.
• Provide guidance and training to junior team members.
• Assist PCM with budgeting and portfolio management.
