Job summary

Talent-Merge is seeking an experienced Marine Engineer to oversee the technical performance, reliability, and readiness of assigned vessels in Singapore. The role involves monitoring maintenance programs, coordinating dry-docking, repairs, surveys, and upgrades, and reviewing data to improve machinery efficiency and fuel consumption.

You will liaise with Masters, Chief Engineers, class societies, authorities, and service providers, ensuring compliance with class rules and regulations while

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree or diploma in marine engineering or related field.
• 5–8 years of marine engineering experience, with sea-going or shore-based superintendent roles.
• Strong knowledge of vessel machinery, maintenance systems, dry-docking, and international regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee performance, reliability, and readiness of assigned vessels.
• Monitor maintenance programs and ensure timely completion of activities.
• Coordinate dry-docking, repairs, surveys, and upgrades.
• Review performance data and improve machinery efficiency and fuel use.
• Liaise with Masters, Chief Engineers, classification societies, flag authorities, shipyards, and providers.
• Ensure compliance with class requirements, regulations, and company procedures.
• Prepare and manage vessel budgets, controlling repair and spare parts costs.
• Evaluate defects and arrange corrective actions promptly.
• Conduct inspections and audits to assess condition and safety.
• Support investigations and risk assessments across the fleet.
