Job summary

ASM in Singapore is seeking a Senior Specialist, Manufacturing Operations, to provide leadership across production shifts and guide a team of Shift Supervisors toward operational excellence. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in a technical environment within manufacturing, capital equipment, aviation, or related industries.
• Minimum 8 years of supervisory experience managing a skilled technician workforce.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical/electrical systems and troubleshooting.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Proven track record of Lean/Kaizen or continuous improvement projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Shift Supervisors to achieve safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost objectives.
• Provide operational leadership across multiple shifts with consistent execution and clear decision-making.
• Drive performance reviews, coaching, and leadership development of Shift Supervisors.
• Oversee production planning and resource allocation to meet commitments.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Facilities, and other functions to resolve issues and improve performance.
• Establish standard work, escalation processes, and controls for stable operations.
• Foster workforce capability development, succession planning, and cross-training initiatives.
• Oversee recruitment, performance management, and employee engagement within production.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements; promote operational excellence.
• Lead Lean, Kaizen, 5S, visual management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Analyze metrics to identify opportunities and implement corrective actions.
• Lead escalation management and contingency planning during disruptions.
• Ensure smooth handovers between shifts and departments.
