Job summary

Lumilens is seeking a senior Test/Packaging Engineering Leader to drive NPI and the transfer of in-house test solutions for silicon photonics, coordinating with design, process, and packaging teams and external vendors.

You will lead test yield improvements, establish robust methodologies, mentor a team of test and packaging engineers, and oversee budgets and timelines across R&D, operations, quality, and supply chain to ensure milestones are met.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Photonics, or related field.
• 10+ years in photonics test/packaging engineering with 5+ in leadership.
• Proven NPI, test solution development, and HVM transfer experience.
• Strong silicon photonics packaging and test process knowledge.
• Experience managing tester RFQ processes and vendor negotiations.
• Excellent project management and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong leadership and people management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead NPI to develop in-house test solutions and manage RFQ.
• Own transfer to HVM with production readiness.
• Define test requirements with engineering teams for silicon photonics.
• Evaluate and manage test equipment vendors.
• Drive test yield improve and cost-of-test reduction.
• Establish test methodologies and documentation for scale-up.
• Manage timelines, budgets, and resources for test development.
• Lead and develop a team of test and packaging engineers.
• Collaborate with R&D, operations, quality, and supply chain to align milestones.
• Provide guidance on packaging/test integration for silicon photonics.
