Go-Ahead Singapore is seeking a Planning & Scheduling Lead with strong bus service planning experience. You will develop and manage integrated project schedules, align with performance targets and compliance, and lead a diverse team to deliver reliable services.

You will leverage data to identify trends, optimize timetables, and present clear dashboards for executives, while ensuring safety and efficiency across operations.

Qualifications

  • Degree in any discipline and at least 2 years of experience in bus scheduling, service planning, transport planning, or public transport operations.
  • Proficiency in computer-based scheduling and rostering systems; Hastus experience is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of public transport operations and service planning processes.

Responsibilities

  • Directing the scheduling team to meet operational targets and contractual KPIs.
  • Overseeing bus timetables, schedules, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Using performance data to analyze service effectiveness and make data-driven decisions.
  • Monitoring schedule reliability and implementing corrective strategies.
  • Collaborating with operations and external stakeholders to drive service improvements.
  • Ensuring mileage tracking, auditing, and compliance for the Mileage Team.
  • Submitting statutory and operational mileage reports to management and authorities.
  • Developing dashboards to visualize performance for executive decision-making.

Job description

As a Planning & Scheduling Lead at Go-Ahead Singapore, you will work with highly experienced, culturally diverse, and passionate teams. You will have a strong background in bus service planning and will be responsible for developing and managing fully integrated project schedules while ensuring alignment with supporting operational performance, contractual compliance, and control strategies. The role is a direct report to OD and requires exceptional communication and leadership skills to effectively collaborate with our stakeholders.

Core Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Directing the scheduling team to meet strict operational targets and contractual KPIs.
  • Service Optimization: Overseeing the creation, roll-out, and continuous improvement of bus timetables and schedules.
  • Data-Driven Planning: Using network and performance data to analyze how effectively new and existing services run.
  • Performance Monitoring: Tracking schedule reliability and stepping in with corrective strategies when delays or gaps occur.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partnering closely with operations teams and external stakeholders to drive service enhancements.
  • Team Management: Directing the Mileage Team to ensure all mileage tracking, auditing, and compliance matters are handled accurately.
  • Reporting & Compliance: Guaranteeing the timely submission of statutory or operational mileage reports to internal management and external stakeholders (such as transport authorities or regulators).
  • Data Analysis & Trends: Overhauling raw transit data to identify performance trends, bottlenecks, or anomalies in bus service efficiency.
  • Data Visualization: Designing, developing, and maintaining performance dashboards that turn complex data sets into clear, scannable graphics for executive decision-making.

Responsible for the safety, health and well being of the department staff and visitors to the department through effective safety leadership and compliance with the business Health and Safety Policy, standards, procedures and processes.

Job Requirements
  • Degree in any discipline with at least 2 years of experience in bus scheduling, service planning, transport planning, or public transport operations.
  • Proficient in computer-based scheduling and rostering systems; experience with Hastus is an advantage.
  • Good understanding of public transport operations and service planning processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with sound judgment.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
