BYD Singapore is seeking a dynamic Quality and Planning Manager to drive the future of sustainable transportation. You will lead quality management and production planning efforts, ensuring ISO compliance, and coordinating with procurement, logistics, and operations to optimize workflows.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or quality management and 3+ years in related roles, with a focus on data-driven decision making and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in quality management, production planning, or similar roles.
• Preference for experience with Public Transport Operators.
• Strong knowledge of quality systems such as ISO 9001, Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent.
• Experience in production planning, inventory control, and resource allocation.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor SOPs, WI, and risk assessments.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and industry standards (ISO, Kaizen).
• Conduct internal audits and lead CAPA efforts.
• Lead root cause analysis and preventive actions.
• Prepare Aftersales for ISO certification.
• Lead planning with forecasting, capacity, and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with procurement and logistics to optimize workflows.
• Develop KPIs to monitor quality and production performance.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and continuous improvement.
• Provide cross-functional coordination across project, operations and stock planning.
• Supervise and develop quality assurance and planning teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Management:

• Develop, implement, and monitor standard operating procedure (SOP), work instruction (WI) and Risk Assessment (RA).
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., ISO, Kaizen).
• Conduct internal audits and lead efforts for corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Manage root cause analysis for quality issues and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
• Preparing Aftersales for ISO Certification.

Strategic Planning:

• Lead the planning process to meet operational goals, including forecasting, capacity planning, and resource allocation.
• Work closely with procurement, and logistics teams to create efficient workflows.
• Develop KPIs to monitor and evaluate performance in both quality and production.

Continuous Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for process optimization
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the organization by engaging staff in quality initiatives.
• Implement new technologies, systems, or practices that enhance workshop and warehousing productivity and quality.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Support project, operational and stock planning and execution by coordinating timelines, resources, and quality expectations across PTOs.

Team Leadership and Development:

• Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of quality assurance and planning professionals.
• Foster a collaborative work environment that emphasizes accountability and teamwork.
• Ensure proper training and development programs are in place to enhance staff capabilities.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Quality Management, or related field.
• 3+ years' experience in quality management, production planning, or similar roles.
• Prefer work in/with one of the Public Transport Operators.
• Strong knowledge of quality systems such as ISO 9001, Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent.
• Experience in production planning, inventory control, and resource allocation.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
