What The Role Is

Formulation of regulatory policies for licensable healthcare services and conduct of inspections and audits under the Healthcare Services Act (HCSA).

Formulation of regulatory policies for licensable healthcare services and conduct of inspections and audits under the Healthcare Services Act (HCSA). You will also be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.

What You Will Be Working On

You will review and formulate regulatory policies for licensable healthcare services to safeguard patient safety, welfare and public interest. You will work closely with multiple stakeholders in the drafting of service regulations, licence conditions, guidelines, etc., to be introduced across the different healthcare sectors and phases of implementation of the Healthcare Services Act (HCSA).

You will also coordinate and carry out licensing inspections and audits of licensable healthcare services to ensure compliance with prevailing regulatory requirements. You will also be involved in the planning and development of new licensing inspection and audit frameworks and processes which are to be operationalised under the new HCSA, and assist in the establishment, administration and enforcement of these new requirements.

What We Are Looking For

• Education in healthcare-related disciplines (e.g., Medicine, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing) or Law preferred
• Previous working experience in roles involving policy formulation, implementation, regulation/governance, strategic planning, healthcare operations and/or inspections/audits preferred
• Previous working experience in a healthcare institution is an advantage
• Possesses integrity and honesty to uphold rules and regulations impartially, to safeguard patient safety and welfare
• Possesses good leadership and managerial skills
