Job summary

Eastspring Investments in Singapore seeks a senior governance leader to oversee the outsourced middle office service provider for IABOR data. Key Accountabilities

This role is responsible for leading the oversight and governance of the outsourced middle office service provider in relation to IABOR data, with accountability for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, timeliness and control integrity of pricing, transaction and position data used across downstream operational, reporting and business processes. The role will provide strategic oversight of the service provider operating model, strengthen governance and control frameworks, and act as a senior escalation point for material data, service and operational issues. The individual is expected to drive service quality, challenge control weaknesses, influence key stakeholders and support the ongoing evolution of the IABOR oversight model in line with business, regulatory and operating model requirements.

This Role Has Several Key Responsibilities

• Lead the governance and oversight of the middle office service provider's delivery of IABOR pricing, transaction and position data across all Local Business Units, ensuring robust standards of data integrity, completeness, timeliness and control effectiveness are maintained.
• Own and enhance the oversight framework for IABOR data services, including governance routines, control reviews, exception management, escalation protocols, service reporting and management information.
• Provide effective challenge to the service provider on data quality issues, control gaps, service failures and process weaknesses, and drive timely remediation and sustainable resolution.
• Act as the senior oversight contact and escalation point for issues relating to the service provider's IABOR data production, servicing model and control environment.
• Oversee the investigation and resolution of material data breaks, mismatches and exceptions across Aladdin, IABOR and relevant downstream systems, ensuring clear ownership, root cause identification and appropriate remediation.
• Monitor service provider performance against agreed service standards, key controls and contractual obligations, escalating concerns and driving accountability where performance or control effectiveness falls below expectation.
• Lead regular governance engagement with the service provider and internal stakeholders to review service performance, key risks, open issues, control themes and improvement priorities.
• Ensure service provider readiness, governance requirements and control expectations are appropriately embedded in transitions, process changes and platform enhancements affecting IABOR data.
• Oversee incident management relating to IABOR data issues, including impact assessment, escalation, stakeholder communication, root cause review and remediation governance.
• Drive continuous enhancement of the oversight model through improvements in controls, automation opportunities, exception reporting, productivity and service governance practices.
• Partner closely with internal stakeholders across Operations, Technology, Risk, Compliance and Local Business Units to ensure issues, dependencies and control concerns are addressed in a coordinated and timely manner.
• Review and challenge service provider and vendor charging where relevant, ensuring invoices are appropriately supported, understood and aligned with agreed commercial arrangements before onward processing.
• Maintain awareness of business, market and regulatory developments that may impact IABOR data requirements and lead the implementation of required changes to the oversight framework and service model.
• Proactively identify emerging risks within the outsourced IABOR operating model and drive actions to strengthen resilience, transparency and control effectiveness.

Experience / Qualifications

• At least 12 years of relevant experience in asset management middle office, investment operations, outsourced service provider oversight or data governance
• Deep understanding of IABOR, asset management operating models, and downstream dependencies across pricing, transaction and position data
• Proven experience in leading oversight of outsourced service providers, including governance, performance management, issue escalation, control challenge and service improvement
• Demonstrated experience in managing complex data issues, driving root cause resolution and influencing outcomes across multiple internal and external stakeholders
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage credibly and effectively with senior management, internal control functions, technology teams and external service providers
• Strong strategic, analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with sound judgement in assessing operational risk, control weaknesses and priority actions
• Experience with Aladdin or similar investment platforms preferred
• Degree in Business, Finance or a related discipline; professional qualifications such as CFA, CAIA, ACCA or equivalent would be advantageous
