Dyson is seeking an experienced Senior Group Tax Manager to oversee group‑wide tax matters, including Pillar 2 compliance, tax provision work, and consolidated disclosures. You will manage relationships with external auditors, coordinate audit responses, and lead cross‑functional efforts to improve tax reporting quality.

The role requires a degree in accounting or tax, strong technical tax expertise, and proven stakeholder management skills in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Degree level or equivalent with accounting/tax qualification.
• Strong technical and operational tax accounting experience gained in‑house or a mix of in‑house and in‑practice, with Pillar 2 experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communicator with ability to convey complex tax matters to non‑tax stakeholders.
• Proven ability to build relationships across the business, lead people and manage multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, complex environment.

• Own the Group tax consolidation process and prepare tax disclosures for the Group’s consolidated financial statements.
• Manage relationships with external auditors and coordinate responses to tax‑related queries and audit matters.
• Prepare tax reporting and analysis for senior management and Board reporting.
• Lead forecasting and monitoring of the Group’s effective tax rate with cross‑functional data gathering.
• Coordinate Pillar Two compliance and reporting obligations with external advisors and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor Pillar Two developments and assess impact on the Group; implement required changes.
• Own the Group’s Country‑by‑Country Reporting obligations across jurisdictions.
• Drive continuous improvement of tax reporting processes, controls and governance.

Job Description – D06 Senior Group Tax Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced individual to oversee Group-wide tax matters. Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing the preparation and review of entity tax provisions and supporting analysis, ensuring accurate reporting within the Group’s consolidated financial statements.
• Ownership of the Group tax consolidation process and preparation of the tax disclosures for the Group’s consolidated financial statements.
• Managing relationships with external auditors, coordinating responses to tax-related queries and ensuring the timely resolution of audit matters.
• Preparing tax reporting and analysis for senior management and Board reporting purposes, including communicating complex tax matters and key tax risks to non-tax stakeholders.
• Leading the forecasting and monitoring of the Group’s effective tax rate, working with finance teams across the business to gather data, challenge assumptions and assess tax impacts.
• Managing the Group’s Pillar Two compliance and reporting obligations, coordinating with external advisors and internal stakeholders to ensure the timely preparation, review and submission of all required filings.
• Monitoring developments in Pillar Two legislation and guidance, assessing the impact on the Group and overseeing the implementation of required changes.
• Ownership of the Group’s Country-by-Country Reporting obligations, including compliance with both traditional and public CbCR requirements across relevant jurisdictions.
• Driving continuous improvement of tax reporting processes, controls and governance frameworks to enhance compliance, reporting quality and operational efficiency.

About you

• Educated to degree level or equivalent, with an accounting and/or tax qualification.
• Strong technical and operational tax accounting experience gained in‑house or a combination of in‑house and in‑practice. Experience with Pillar 2 preferred.
• An excellent verbal and written communicator.
• Proven ability to build relationships across the business, lead people and manage multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, complex, ever‑changing environment.
