In this crucial role, you will play a vital part in providing high-quality Engineering services and support for the planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of our subject area specific Facilities systems across our Semiconductor Manufacturing sites worldwide for UPW, WWT and Waste Chemical systems.
Responsibilities
- Act as the Technical Field Domain Expert, offering consultation and support to all Site Facilities and Manufacturing teams and collaborating with internal partners to champion cross-functional collaboration.
- Develop, review, and maintain global system, equipment, and component standards, specifications, and best known methods (BKMs) to ensure excellence in engineering practices.
- Implement standardization and alignment across Micron's global network and sites for engineering and design concepts, construction project execution, reliability programs deployment, and operations and maintenance practices.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in system designs to enhance performance, achieve efficiency gains, reduce maintenance, and deliver cost savings.
- Benchmark internal and external best practices for facilities buildings and systems and stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technology roadmaps, design innovations, and sustainability practices.
- Provide design and construction project support, including review of design packages, cost and schedule estimation, and engineering expertise during construction as required.
- Participate and lead capacity databases and system operating trend analyses across the network, validating utilization and diversity factor assumptions.
- Review and guide scope, schedule, and cost estimates for facilities infrastructure additions or modifications.
- Lead Global Facilities Programs & Initiatives, establishing objectives, roadmaps, and high-level implementation plans.
- Lead sustainability programs in alignment with corporate sustainability goals.
- Apply AI-enabled tools such as predictive analytics, digital twins, and process automation to improve facilities performance, reliability, and decision-making while ensuring responsible and compliant AI use.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Process, or Industrial Systems Engineering.
- Minimum 7 to 10 years of experience in semiconductor UPW, WWT, and waste chemical systems design and operation.
- Technical proficiency and background in designing facilities and semiconductor UPW/WWT systems, including UPW systems, reclaim water systems, WWT systems, waste chemical systems, and distribution systems.
- Ability to prioritize, schedule workload, and handle multiple concurrent tasks.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing and facilities systems.
- Availability to travel internationally 25–40% on average, up to 50–66% during critical project phases.
