Job summary

IMDA's International Group (INTL) seeks a senior adviser to lead Singapore-China bilateral engagements, based in China after an initial assignment in Singapore. You will provide leadership for regional operations and coordinate end-to-end collaborations to advance digital economy and technology policy cooperation between governments and businesses.

The role covers Shanghai, Suzhou and Shenzhen, building relationships with regional governments, industry players and research institutions, and

Qualifications

10-15 years of relevant experience in international relations, government and/or technology sectors.
Strong understanding of China’s digital and technology landscape and government interfaces.
Overseas experience or significant work with China is an advantage.
Excellent written and spoken English and Mandarin with ability to present to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement IMDA's engagement strategy with China, including priority areas for AI, data and digital infrastructure.
Support senior leadership with engagement strategies, briefs, talking points and recommendations.
Build and maintain relationships with regional and local government counterparts, industry, research and ecosystem partners.
Identify and drive G2G and B2B collaborations that advance Singapore's digital and technology interests.
Coordinate bilateral and regional platforms and track progress toward agreed outcomes.
