Job summary

Public Service Division is seeking a senior international affairs professional to join the International (INTL) Group, focusing on bilateral engagement with China. The role will begin at IMDA Headquarters in Singapore, then relocate to China to lead regional operations across Shanghai, Suzhou, and Shenzhen, driving government-to-government and business-to-business collaboration in the digital economy.

The ideal candidate has 10-15 years of experience in international relations or technology

Qualifications

10-15 years of relevant experience in international relations, government or tech sectors.
Strong understanding of China’s digital and tech landscape and engagement with Chinese stakeholders.
Overseas experience or extensive China-focused collaboration is a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Mandarin.

Responsibilities

Monitor developments in China’s tech landscape and policy changes relevant to Singapore.
Develop insights from regional governments, industry, and researchers to inform strategy.
Lead engagement strategies with China and coordinate with Singapore agencies and IMDA divisions.
Build relationships with regional government counterparts, tech firms, and research institutes.
Represent IMDA in China engagements and coordinate with central and regional teams.
