Job summary

Meranti Power Pte. Ltd. on Jurong Island invites applications for a Manager / Senior Manager, Business Development and Project Management who reports to the Deputy Head, Business Development. The role blends strategic development with hands-on project delivery for a major diesel pipeline project.

The incumbent will support commercial assessments, establish partnerships with grid operators and energy users, and lead tender negotiations to expand the company’s portfolio.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of business development or commercial strategy experience with 3 years of project management in power/energy.
• Ability to understand engineering concepts and infrastructure development processes.
• Strong analytical and financial reasoning for evaluating opportunities.
• Knowledge of electricity markets, grid services, and regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Support Deputy Head of Business Development as Deputy Project Manager for a major diesel pipeline project.
• Coordinate with government, regulators, EPCs, and partners to ensure on-time delivery within budget.
• Develop business cases, run numbers on opportunities, and build partnerships with grid operators and energy users.
• Lead commercial negotiations and tender processes from start to finish.
• Conduct market benchmarking and assess commercial/technical merits of proposals.
