About the Role

The GR Manager will be based in Singapore and play a key role in supporting the execution of global government relations strategies for a leading cross-border e-commerce business. This role will focus on cross-functional coordination, policy research, GR execution and stakeholder engagement, with a particular emphasis on the Americas region. The role requires strong execution capability, policy sensitivity, cross-functional collaboration skills, and the ability to travel frequently across cross-border markets to support business needs, government engagement, regulatory monitoring, and local issue management.

Job Responsibilities

• Track and analyze policy, regulatory, political, and geopolitical developments in key markets and assess potential business implications
• Support the execution of global and regional government relationsstrategies, with a focus on Americas markets.
• Coordinate cross-functional GR initiatives across internal teams, including Legal and Compliance, Public Relations, Sustainability, Finance, Tax, and regional Marketing teams.
• Conduct policy and regulatory research on topics relevant to cross-border e-commerce, digital platforms, trade, consumer protection, AI, product compliance, customs, taxation, sustainability, and platform governance.
• Prepare policy briefs, stakeholder mapping, government engagement materials, internal updates, talking points, meeting notes, and executive briefing documents.
• Support engagement with government agencies, industry associations, chambers of commerce, think tanks, and other external stakeholders.
• Assist in managing GR projects and ensuring timely execution of action plans, follow-ups, and deliverables across markets.
• Help build internal GR operating mechanisms, including information sharing, issue escalation, project tracking, and stakeholder engagement processes.
• Travel frequently across markets to support government engagement, business meetings, market research, and local coordination.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Degree in International Relations, Political Science, Global Studies, Law, Economics, Communications, Media, Journalism, or related fields.
• At least 5-8 years of working experience in corporate/public affairs, and/or government relations/public policy, and/or corporate communications/public relations.
• Experience in policy research, development, and analysis, and/or track record in developing and implementing external communication strategies/campaigns
• Strong policy/regulatory network in Americas.
• Track record of effectively solving complex issues and delivering strong results while maintaining the highest standards.
• Keen interest to translate policy/regulatory engagements into tangible commercial outcomes.
• Strong analytical, presentation (written and oral) and project management skills.
• Strong proficiency in English.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to frequent travels.
• Ability to multi-task and have exceptional attention to detail while operating in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
