Key Responsibilities:
General and Task Management
- Attend breakdowns, identify faults, and problem-solve to minimize downtime to production.
- Diagnose faults, perform maintenance and repairs on all types of plant and equipment in a safe, timely, and professional manner, and return equipment to operational service.
- Estimate the time required to complete jobs and assess the potential consequences of not meeting deadlines.
- Identify and escalate activities that could cause harm or damage. Report breakdown root causes, equipment faults, and concerns to management.
- Ensure all work meets high-quality standards and complies with all quality regulations.
- Meet company targets regarding the quality of parts produced. Log spares requirements and usage.
- Assist in developing and executing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules.
- Carry out PPM tasks and work orders as scheduled, providing feedback for system improvement.
- Assist with moving, installing, and repositioning machines and equipment.
- Utilize the computerized maintenance management system effectively.
- Plan and prioritize workload to support production and optimize work time.
- Complete job tickets and log work on the maintenance system.
- Operate forklift trucks and lifting equipment safely.
- Maintain the workplace according to 5S methodology (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain).
- Ensure personal protective equipment is available, correctly used, and report related issues.
- Report all incidents, including minor and trivial accidents.
- Promote environmental awareness and adhere to company procedures.
- Ensure a safe working environment, following health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures, and meet KPI targets.
- Stay updated on manufacturing and engineering trends related to maintenance.
- Undertake special projects as needed.
- Conduct quality control reviews of work performed.
- Perform benchmarking to identify best practices and future trends.
- Plan projects and subtasks for tracking and presentation.
- Use continuous improvement methodologies to enhance maintenance functions.
- Write reports and present progress at project meetings.
- Achieve project goals within budget constraints.
- Engage in ongoing training and development.
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems effectively.
- Work independently on assigned tasks and understand basic cost and budget measures.
