Responsibilities

• Review M&E drawings and submissions.
• Conduct site inspections and monitor workmanship, safety and progress.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, client and stakeholders.
• Monitor interfaces between building services, airport systems, utilities and airfield works.
• Attend progress, technical and coordination meetings.
• Maintain inspection records and project documentation.
• Witness testing and commissioning.
• Assist with handover and defect inspections.
• Monitor rectification of defects and non-conformance.

Job description

CMP Consultants Pte Ltd is seeking five experienced M&E Engineers for a major airport development project at Changi East.

The positions involve supporting the Superintending Officer’s Representative team in administering and supervising the construction of Terminal, associated airfield works, the Combined Services Tunnel, utilities and airport systems.

This is primarily a construction supervision and contract administration position, not an M&E design role.

Responsibilities

• Review contractors’ M&E drawings, technical submissions, method statements and material submissions.


• Conduct site inspections and monitor workmanship, quality, safety and construction progress.


• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, the client and other project stakeholders.


• Monitor interfaces between building services, airport systems, utilities and airfield works.


• Attend progress, technical and coordination meetings.


• Maintain inspection records, reports, meeting actions and other project documentation.


• Witness testing, commissioning and integrated system testing.


• Assist with handover, operational-readiness activities and defects inspections.


• Monitor rectification of defects and non-conformance items.

Requirements

• Recognised professional degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.


• Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience in MEP engineering or project management.


• Experience in construction contract administration for a terminal building, major infrastructure project or complex mixed-use development.


• Strong site coordination, inspection, reporting and communication skills.


• Airport, airfield, utilities or large infrastructure experience will be advantageous.


• Able to work full-time at the project site.


• Available to mobilise within approximately four weeks after client acceptance.


• Appointment is subject to project award, interview and final client approval.
