Cana Consulting in Singapore seeks a Senior Legal Counsel to support complex cross-border LNG transactions and commercial activities, partnering with senior business stakeholders to provide strategic legal guidance.

The role focuses on LNG SPAs, long- and short-term contracts, and cross-border trading, requiring a lawyer with 15+ years’ experience and a strong track record in energy markets. Asian operations and international disputes may arise.

Formación

• Deep LNG and energy transactions experience in cross-border contexts.
• Strong negotiation and risk/award balancing in commercial deals.
• Ability to provide pragmatic, business-focused legal advice to senior stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Act as trusted legal adviser to commercial and trading teams on LNG and energy matters.
• Draft, review and negotiate SPAs, commercial contracts and related docs.
• Support spot cargo transactions and trading activities across international markets.
• Advise on shipping-related agreements, including charterparties and transportation arrangements.
• Identify legal/commercial risks and provide practical solutions to facilitate transactions.
• Partner with senior management on strategic cross-border initiatives.
• Manage external counsel and support dispute resolution as needed.
• Monitor regulatory developments affecting energy and commodity trading.
