Zentact Systems Pte. Ltd. in Singapore seeks a Senior Software Developer to design, implement, and optimize data-driven applications leveraging Kafka and modern containerized platforms.

The role involves administering Kafka clusters, deploying with KRaft and ZooKeeper, and ensuring secure, scalable messaging. You will integrate Java/Spring Boot services, build robust monitoring, and participate in CI/CD across DevOps workflows.

Qualifications

• Experience building and maintaining Kafka-based data pipelines.
• Strong Java/Spring Boot experience with Kafka integration.
• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools and big-picture capacity planning.

Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and maintain Kafka clusters across Production, UAT, and Development environments.
• Deploy and manage Kafka clusters using KRaft and ZooKeeper architectures.
• Configure and maintain topics, partitions, replication, retention policies, SSL/TLS encryption, and ACL-based security.
• Troubleshoot Kafka-related issues including broker failures, consumer lag, replication delays, partition imbalances, and performance bottlenecks.
• Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and high-Availability implementations.
• Develop, support, and troubleshoot Java/Spring Boot applications integrated with Kafka.
• Implement monitoring and alerting using Prometheus, Grafana, Confluent Control Center, and Splunk.
• Support CI/CD and automation initiatives using Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, and Linux scripting.
• Collaborate with Development, QA, and Operations teams to deliver reliable and scalable event-driven solutions.
