Qualifications

• Experience administering Kafka clusters across environments.
• Deploy and manage Kafka using KRaft and ZooKeeper architectures.
• Configure topics, partitions, retention, and SSL/TLS encryption.
• Troubleshoot broker failures, lag, and performance bottlenecks.
• Capacity planning, performance tuning, and high-availability.
• Develop Java/Spring Boot applications integrated with Kafka.
• Implement monitoring with Prometheus, Grafana, Confluent Control Center, Splunk.
• Support CI/CD and automation with Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Linux scripting.

Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and maintain Kafka clusters across Production/UAT/Development.
• Deploy Kafka clusters using KRaft and ZooKeeper architectures.
• Configure topics, partitions, replication, retention, and security.
• Troubleshoot Kafka-related issues including broker failures and lag.
• Plan capacity, tune performance, and implement high availability.
• Develop and troubleshoot Java/Spring Boot apps integrated with Kafka.
• Set up monitoring/alerting with Prometheus, Grafana, Confluent Control Center, Splunk.
• Support CI/CD and automation using Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, and Linux scripting.
• Collaborate across Development, QA, and Operations to deliver scalable event-driven solutions.
