Job summary

Tech Aalto in Singapore is seeking an experienced Java Developer with strong backend expertise in Java and Kotlin to build scalable, high-performance applications using modern frameworks.

You will design and implement RESTful APIs, work in Agile teams, participate in architecture discussions, and ensure security, performance, and reliability across microservices and cloud deployments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on Java development with backend focus.
• At least 1 year Kotlin experience and practical Kotlin usage.
• Proficiency in Spring Boot and RESTful service design.
• Strong understanding of relational databases and SQL.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, and build tools.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum practices and microservices architecture.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java and Kotlin.
• Build and consume RESTful APIs and integrate services.
• Participate in system design, architecture discussions, and technical solutioning.
• Ensure performance, security, and scalability of applications.
• Collaborate with product owners, QA, and DevOps in Agile ceremonies.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform code reviews.
