Job summary

FPT ASIA PACIFIC PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to design and build high-performance backend services using Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and a microservices architecture in Singapore.

You will own backend components, implement RESTful APIs, ensure reliability and low latency, and collaborate with product, QA, and DevOps to deploy scalable solutions in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• 6-10 years of backend engineering experience in large-scale systems.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong fundamentals in distributed systems and microservices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable Java backend services.
• Develop microservices with clean architecture and DDD.
• Implement RESTful APIs and event-driven components.
• Ensure performance, scalability, fault tolerance, and low latency.
• Collaborate with DevOps to create CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical excellence.
• Participate in architecture reviews and design discussions.
